AJE Launch: Streaming On The Internet

Al Jazeera English will be carried in the United States “on four obscure outlets: GlobeCast; Jump TV; VDC and Fision.”

So what are those? The Inquirer explains: “GlobeCast is a satellite network; Jump TV and VDC are on the Internet. Houston-based Fision, something called a fiber-optics-to-the-home network, won’t even launch until December, and then only on a trial basis in the Houston area, a rep says.”
