Why Ainsley Earhardt Dedicated Her Book to Her Daughter

Megyn Kelly isn’t the only Fox Newser with a new book out. Fox and Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt showed off her new children’s book, Take Heart My Child, with husband Will Proctor, one-year-old daughter Hayden on Fox News Wednesday. Earhardt wrote the book with Hayden in mind. It’s based on her own childhood, and includes inspirational quotes and scripture.

I was pregnant with Hayden when I wrote the book and the idea came from my father,” Earhardt said during Wednesday’s episode of Fox & Friends. “Mom was a school teacher and she had to be at work at 7:30 every morning. So Dad was in charge of us three kids around the breakfast table. He always made it creative, he did the bananas with the smiley face and the eyes with peanut butter on top, made us drink grapefruit every morning even though we had to do it holding our noses. He always had a scripture or saying or some sort of note next to our cereal with an inspirational quote.”

The elder Earhardt, Wayne, is quite proud of the book, and even more proud of his daughter and rest of the family.

“We’re just really blessed. No question about it,” Wayne Earhardt added. “Great children, great grandchild. We’ve just been blessed. That’s all there is to it.”
