Aftermath Ratings: Morning Show #’s

‘Today’ won the morning show week of August 29 with 6.3 million viewers. “When America needed news about Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath, they turned to NBC News’ ‘Today,'” the press release says. GMA had 5.6 million viewers and CBS had 2.7 million.

“GMA continues rise as fastest growing morning program; only 680,000 total viewers separate GMA and Today,” ABC’s press release says. “Compared to the same time last year, when NBC was airing the Olympics, GMA cut the gap in Total Viewers by 42% and in Adults 25-54 by 57%,” ABC says. However, last week marked NBC’s “best margin of victory since June 13, 2005…”
