After Iowa, Donald Trump Is Done Skipping Debates

In an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he may “have been hurt” by skipping the Fox News debate before Iowa, and promised he would indeed be on stage for the next GOP debate, on ABC Saturday night.

“I do like doing it,” Trump said, stressing his newcomer status in politics. “What did I know about debating? That wasn’t what I did for a living. And so I like it.”

Trump gave his first interview since finishing second in Iowa to Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity Tuesday night. “I’m very happy with a second place finish in Iowa,” he said.

Saturday’s debate will include one fewer candidate: this morning Sen. Rand Paul announced he is dropping out of the race for president.
