Advocacy Group Wants Apology From LeBron James

By Marcus Vanderberg

Well, you knew this was coming.

An advocacy group for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities wants LeBron James to apologize for his “retarded” comment Saturday night following Game 3 against the Boston Celtics.

“LeBron James should apologize immediately. No matter the context, this language is very offensive to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, and an athlete admired by kids everywhere should recognize the power of his actions and words,” said Peter Berns, chief executive officer of The Arc, in a statement.

What’s next? Is David Stern going to slap LeBron with a fine to make this go away?
