Aditi Roy Joins CNBC as a West Coast-Based Reporter

CNBC has named Aditi Roy, a former West Coast correspondent for ABC News, as a general assignment reporter based in CNBC’s San Francisco bureau. Roy begins her new gig on Monday, July 18.

“Aditi comes to us from ABC News where she was a West Coast correspondent reporting for all of the network’s broadcasts and platforms.  There, she covered a wide range of stories from consumer-facing products and a Delphi self-driving car to the 2013 Target breach and severe weather across the West,” said svp and editor-in-chief of CNBC Business News Nik Deogun in a memo on Monday.

Prior to joining ABC News, Roy anchored the morning and evening newscasts for NBC10 (WCAU-TV) in Philadelphia. She began her career in journalism as a reporter and photographer at KLKN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska and later worked as a reporter for KHQ-TV in Spokane, Washington.

Roy holds an impressive collection of diplomas, including a B.A. in political science from UC Berkeley as well as an M.A. in political science from Stanford University and an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University.  In 2012, she received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
