Every Monday in April, World News with Charles Gibson will have a single commercial sponsor. “The unprecedented deal, months in the making, will add approximately five minutes of editorial time to each of the broadcasts,” TVWeek reports. “That time will accommodate a series of reports on serious issues around the world by Good Morning America Weekend co-anchor Bill Weir, who increasingly has been contributing to World News.”
The series will be called “Keys to the World.” “CVS/pharmacy will sponsor the April 23 segment, negotiated through Hill Holiday. Sponsors for the 2, 9 and 16, negotiated through Carat USA, have yet to be made public,” B&C notes…
