WNYW-TV in New York has hired ABC Newser Ron Corning “as Jodi Applegate‘s co-host for the ‘Good Day New York’ morning show,” TV Week reports. “He is expected to make his first appearance on the morning show this month.”
Corning has hosted “World News Now” and “World News This Morning” since August 2004. In a farewell message on Tuesday, Corning wrote: “I’m glad to be staying in New York as part of a show that will allow me to flex a number of muscles, much like World News Now. I’m taking a couple of weeks off to reset my body clock before I resume semi-normal hours…”
