ABC’s Lincoln Square Productions to Double Programming Output

By Chris Ariens

Lincoln Square Productions, the in-house production company at ABC News, plans to double the hours of original productions and syndicated programming in 2016. To accomplish this, LSP is upping two staffers. Linda Berman has been upped to director of Scripted Content. For the last two years Berman has been an ep on scripted shows including ABC’s upcoming MADOFF mini series, starring Richard Dreyfus as Bernie Madoff (pictured). Prior to ABC, Berman was a production executive at both TNT and Cosgrove/Meurer.

Richard Thompson, an ABC News veteran, has been promoted to executive director, Operations, Planning and Strategy. As finance director, Thompson has been involved in multiple projects including the OSCARS Opening Ceremony, 20/20 on Discovery ID, and Next Step Realty which airs on ABC Family (soon to be Freeform). Before joining LSP, Thompson spent 12 years in ABC’s London Bureau.
