ABC News correspondent Sara Haines gave birth to a son Saturday. It’s the first child for Haines and her husband, Max Shifrin.
Alec Richard Shifrin weighed in at 7 pounds and 5 ounces, and is named for each of the couple’s fathers.
The baby was due March 9, but arrived early. After her water broke, Haines walked the dog, then began reporting on her trip to the hospital on Periscope.
