ABC News’ ‘NY Med’ Returns June 24

By Chris Ariens

Oz-300x255After nearly two years of production, ABC News’ “NY Med” returns this summer. This time the limited series bridges (or tunnels) the medical gap between the prominent New York Presbyterian Hospital, which is associated with two Ivy League universities, and University Hospital, the state-owned medical center in Newark, NJ.

Each episode in the eight-part series jumps between the life-saving measures going on at each medical facility and introducing unforgettable characters, including a trio of ER nurses who care for some of the nation’s most bossy patients. Dr. Mehmet Oz makes the rounds once again. Terence Wrong is executive producer of “NY Med,” as he has been for previous iterations of the medical documentary series.

“NY Med” returns to ABC June 24.
