ABC & NBC Level “The Playing Field”

Broadcasting & Cable’s John Eggerton reports that ABC and NBC are joining CNN “in making their presidential-debate footage available for relatively unrestricted use on the Web and elsewhere.”

The debates on ABC and MSNBC had been made available, but with restrictions. Adam Green of Moveon.org, which pushed for the change, says “ABC and NBC deserve praise for leveling the playing field — allowing everyday people to share key debate moments on blogs and YouTube just like the networks choose moments to show on the air.”
