ABC Democratic Debate Will Put Reporters on Ice

By Mark Joyella

Reporters covering the Democratic presidential debate in New Hampshire Saturday have been warned to wear layers. Politico reports a memo from ABC News, which is hosting the debate, advises journalists to brace for freezing conditions.

The weather forecast for New Hampshire calls for colder temperatures, but in this case, the warning involves indoor conditions: an ice rink will be used as the media filing center. “Please note in order to accommodate everyone, the media filing center is on St. Anselm’s hockey rink in the Sullivan Arena. Please remember to dress warmly,” the memo reads.

World News Tonight anchor David Muir and ABC’s chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz will moderate the debate, but New Hampshire station WMUR was dropped as a media partner by the Democratic National Committee over a labor dispute.
