ABC News and the BBC World Service have released the results of an exclusive public opinion poll in Afghanistan. The results are being used for ABC’s “Afghanistan: Where Things Stand” coverage today, on the fifth anniversary of the fall of Kandahar.
“ABC News commissioned the comprehensive national survey as a follow-up to last year’s prize-winning poll — the first news-sponsored survey ever done in that country,” a press release says. “This year’s project finds sharp deterioration in optimism among ordinary Afghans.”
