Former CNN anchor Aaron Brown has been appointed the inaugural Walter Cronkite Professor of Journalism at Arizona State University’s Cronkite School of Journalism. Cronkite himself helped recruit Brown, and says, “His passion for our profession and his commitment to its highest standards of objectivity and fairness has been the hallmark of his work, and will be a source of great inspiration for our students.” Brown had previously been a visiting lecturer at ASU, and says, “I can’t wait to begin.”

TVNewser columnist Gail Shister spoke with Brown today, and will have more in her column, next week.
