> UPDATE: 8:30am: The 11pm broadcast was NOT NewsNight — it was a rerun of Anderson Cooper 360 — and this post has been edited accordingly.
CNNers must be hoping that the new “NewsNight: State of Emergency” with Anderson Cooper and Aaron Brown doesn’t suffer the same fate as Friday night’s programs.
On Sept. 30,
Anderson and Aaron averaged 482,000 total viewers at 10pm — and the viewers dwindled by 11pm, when the duo Anderson averaged just 356,000. In the 25-54 demographic, A&A had 109,000 viewers at 10pm and 106,000 at 11pm. Joe Scarborough beat them in the 10pm demo (with 119,000), and a CNBC repeat beat them in the 11pm demo (with 136,000).
