A Super Round of Interviews, From One Studio

By Chris Ariens

In less than three-hours this morning, Sen. Barack Obama did 18 interviews for national networks and local stations in primary states around the country. The VideoLink studio in West Newton, MA shot and uplinked the interviews for the Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN and several others. It’s common for broadcast and cable networks as well as local stations to hire the studio to shoot the newsmaker interviews, but this event was unique in that all 18 interviews were coordinated in less than 24 hours.

>More: An emailer rightly points out, “It should be noted that the Obama campaign paid to use the Videolink facilities for his 18 interview morning. It was a ‘satellite media tour’.”
