A Lot of ‘Glory’ in February

By Chris Ariens

Two weeks ago we told you about HLN launching a new series called “News and a Movie,” in which the network would show a movie and bring on guests to discuss the real stories behind the Hollywood versions of the characters. “Glory,” the 1989 Civil War film based a true story of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, was chosen as the first in the series. It aired Feb. 12, honoring both Black History Month and the 25th anniversary of the film.

Well, now another cable channel, NBCU-owned USA Network, has chosen “Glory” as the next movie in its “Characters Unite” series. Andre Braugher, who made his feature film debut in “Glory,” delivers a special introduction to the film when it airs tonight at 7pmET.
