A CNN Mistake Leads to Free Airtime

By Chris Ariens

The Pacific News Center reports that CNN has agreed to air tourism commercials for Guam for free after an on-air error.

The commercials, which will air on CNN and CNN International next week, are being provided at no cost, after the Guam Visitors Bureau complained to CNN about an erroneous report that aired on May 24, 2008. The network aired footage of the island of Yap and called it Guam.
