PEJ’s Tom Rosenstiel is out with his weekly Campaign Coverage Index. With a deadlocked Democratic primary, “Fully 60% of election stories focused on Democrats — the highest amount of coverage for the party since the Campaign Coverage Index launched in January,” PEJ found. “Only 24% of stories were centered on the GOP candidates and 16% mentioned both Democrats and Republicans.”

Campaign stories filled 40% of the newshole for the week while cable television “focused 62% of its airtime on the election,” the report found.
