60 Minutes Earns Its Largest Audience of the Season With Anderson Cooper-Prince Harry Interview

Turns out some Americans are still interested in The Royals.

The Sunday, Jan. 2 edition of 60 Minutes, which featured Anderson Cooper’s interview with Prince Harry, his first sit down on American television before his memoir, Spare, was released, delivered the newsmagazine’s largest audience of the season to-date: 11.2 million total viewers, and 2.2 million A25-54, per live plus same day data from Nielsen.

As expected, 60 Minutes, America’s most-watched news program, also happened to be America’s most-watched non-sports program in primetime this past week.

Based on AMA, the next-day streaming of the full episode on Paramount+ and CBS TVE (CBS App and CBS.com) was the highest of the season – five times higher than the season average. This was the highest next-day streaming delivery for a 60 Minutes episode since October 2020, when Lesley Stahl interviewed then-President Donald Trump.
