Almost 17 million people watched “60 Minutes” on Sunday, good enough for the show to be the fifth most-watched primetime program of the week.
A moving Scott Pelley report on homeless families in Central Florida, and Bob Simon’s profile of Angelina Jolie, as well as the Denver-San Diego overtime game, gave “60” a +17% jump from the previous Sunday’s show.
During the East Coast broadcast, #60Minutes was a worldwide trending topic on Twitter, as viewers discussed the show’s stories.
