48 Hours Tops on Saturday Night

By Chris Ariens

It was a big weekend for news magazines featuring crime as the theme. Earlier, we wrote about Dateline’s big Friday numbers. Now, 48 Hours Mystery has the honor of being Saturday night’s #1 program in households.

The two-hour program, “Love and Death in the Wild,” drew 7.22 million Total Viewers, with a 2.6 rating in A25-54. The broadcast focused on the story of Mechele Linehan, a physician’s wife and PTA mom from Washington state who is suspected of killing a friend in Alaska 10 years before.
