Along with a new anchor, new music, and new segments, the CBS Evening News will have a new set tonight.
“The set, graphics and look definitely shouts ‘warmer.’ Gone is the sterile, cold-blue set and newsroom. It’s been replaced with a much brighter, golden-hued look that is more welcoming,” the Public Eye blog says.
Frank Governale, CBS News’ vice president of operations, tells the Record that Couric “will be much more mobile than what we’ve done in the past. There will be numerous new standup locations.” (Virginia Rohan adds: “Hey, good legs are a terrible thing to waste.”)
