2019 TVNewser Bracket Challenge Update: Sweet 16

The 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is back in action tonight with the West regional semifinals (also known as The Sweet 16).

The festivities begin tonight. West region No. 4 seed Florida State takes on No. 1 seed Gonzaga tonight at 7:09 p.m. ET on CBS. The second regional semifinal matchup this evening features South region No. 3 seed Purdue vs. No. 2 seed Tennessee at 7:29 p.m. ET on TBS.

Then, there’s West region No. 3 seed Texas Tech vs. No. 2 seed Michigan at 9:39 p.m. ET on CBS. The last game of the evening is South region No. 12 seed Oregon vs. No. 1 seed Virginia at 9:57 p.m. ET on TBS.

Tliar face who’s still in the lead. But this time, she has some company. Yes, that’s right, Fox Nation host Abby Hornacek remains at the top in the heap, but she is now joined by NBC News White House correspondent and Saturday Today co-host Peter Alexander. Each has 57 points going into tonight’s Sweet 16 action.

Fox News sports reporter Jared Max and TVNewser editor A.J. Katz follow them with 53 points apiece.

Right on their heels are two Weather Channel on-camera meterologists, Paul Goodloe and Alex Wallace, as well as NBC News Chief White House correspondent Hallie Jackson. Each has 52 points.

CNBC Squawk on the Street / Closing Bell anchor Sara Eisen and Power Lunch co-anchor Tyler Mathisen have 51 points apiece. There’s a squad of TV Newsers right behind them with 50 points, including their CNBC colleagues Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen, cohosts of Squawk Box.
