20 Million Watch Trump on 60 Minutes

By Chris Ariens

President-elect Donald Trump‘s first post-election TV interview was the most-watched non-sports program of the week. The season-high 20 million viewers was the show’s best since January 17, and was the No. 2 show of the week, behind NBC’s Sunday Night Football.

The episode, devoted entirely to Lesley Stahl‘s interview with Trump and his family, averaged a 4.6 rating in the A25-54 demo and a 3.4 in A18-49.

The audience was the biggest since November 16, 2008 when Steve Kroft got the first post-election interview with then-Pres.-elect Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. That show drew 25.1 million viewers, and was 60’s biggest audience in nearly a decade.
