Matt Lauer‘s sit-down with Joyce Mitchell, the former prison worker who helped two upstate New York inmates escape this summer, was Friday’s No. 1 show in the 18-49 demo, and No. 2 in total viewers (5 million) behind a repeat of CBS’s Blue Bloods.
This was Dateline’s best Friday in the demo in five months. Dateline also scored a million more viewers than ABC’s 20/20 which averaged 3.9 million total viewers.
