When Adweek was founded in 1979 the idea of online advertising was still 15 years away. It would take another two years, until 1996, for the Interactive Advertising Bureau to be conceived. The IAB develops the standard for digital advertising and represents ad-supported digital video platforms.
Every year, just before the IAB NewFronts, where advertisers get a look at upcoming programming, Adweek brings together digital video executives to share trends and insights for the coming year.
After this year’s gathering we asked Viacom EVP John Halley, Warner Bros. SVP Alana Calderone Polcsa and the IAB’s Anna Bager for their thoughts on how Adweek helps them do their jobs better.
