Verizon FiOS TV announced plans Thursday (June 5) to expand its lineup of HD channels to as many as 150 by the end of the year. The pay TV service also plans to add hundreds of video-on-demand titles each month with 1,000 HD VOD titles available to subscribers by year’s end.

Beginning in July, HD options will roll out region by region to areas where FiOS TV is available. Included in the new content will be more than 25 HD channels, bringing the total number of HD channels to between 52 and 65, depending on the subscriber’s location.
