USA Network has locked up another 16 episodes of the homegrown procedural Law & Order: Criminal Intent, which shifted to the cable network last fall after a six-season run on NBC.
Originally produced by Universal Media Studios, L&O: CI is now being cranked out by NBCU Cable Studio, the newly-formed production unit helmed by headed by USA/Sci Fi Channel president Bonnie Hammer.
In March, Hammer re-upped with NBC Universal, adding oversight of the cable studio and emerging-networks division, while retaining her role as chief at USA and Sci Fi.
