Spot TV Ad Revenue Soars in Q3

Spot TV ad revenue soared 31.7 percent in third quarter to $4.1 billion on a 74.1 percent surge in automotive and a 688 percent increase in political, per a TVB analysis of Kantar Media data. The sector far outpaced other broadcast TV segments including network TV up 2.7 percent to $4.8 billion, syndication down 1.2 percent to just over $1 billion.

For the quarter, total broadcast TV grew 12.5 percent to $9.9 billion.
