Relations between NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and the owners of the New York Rangers have soured even further, as the league on Wednesday stepped up its legal battle with Madison Square Garden.
According to a document filed June 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Bettman hopes to bring disciplinary proceedings against MSG that could result in the suspension or termination of its ownership of the Rangers.
The letter alleges that in suing the league for alleged antitrust violations, MSG has violated the NHL
