Comcast and Netflix are expanding their partnership to offer the TV and movie streaming service as part of Xfinity packages.
In 2016, Comcast launched Netflix on its X1 platform, where Netflix users accounts could switch over to the streaming service without changing inputs.
“Netflix is a great partner, and we are excited to offer its services to our customers in new ways that provide them with more choice, value and flexibility,” Sam Schwartz, chief business development officer of Comcast Cable, said in a statement. “The seamless integration of Netflix with the vast Xfinity entertainment library on X1 present a unique and comprehensive experience for customers.”
This month, Comcast will debut the new offers, which includes a Netflix subscription. The offers will vary by market, and all billing will be handled by Comcast.
“By speaking into or browsing with the X1 remote, millions of customers have found the perfect thing to watch on Netflix. We can’t wait to introduce more X1 customers to Netflix with Xfinity’s new packaged offers,” Bill Holmes, chief business development officer for Netflix, said in a statement.
