TNT may claim to know drama. But the stars of the cable net’s new crime series Rizzoli & Isles know procedurals, specifically.
After all, Angie Harmon starred on Law & Order as A.D.A. Abbie Carmichael for three seasons. And Sasha Alexander was an original cast member of NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, playing agent Caitlin Todd.
So hopes are high for the show, which premieres July 12, following the return of the network’s top-rated scripted series The Closer.
