Media Monitors, a monitoring and verification service, has been granted Media Rating Council accreditation for its radio spot service, the company announced Wednesday (Sept. 10). It’s the first radio monitoring service to be audited and accredited by the MRC.

“MRC accreditation provides subscribers with confidence that Media Monitors is identifying and reporting radio advertising occurrences in accordance with MRC Standards,” said George Ivie, executive director of the MRC.

Media Monitors is a subsidiary of RCS, which is owned by Clear Channel.
