CBS Television Distribution signs the 'Survivor' host for fall 2012

CBS Television Distribution, the home of seven of the top 10 rated shows in syndication, has signed a deal with Emmy Award-winning Survivor host Jeff Probst to host a first-run daytime talk show in fall 2012. The one-hour, daytime talk show will cover topics ranging from news makers of the day to families and individuals facing challenges.

In addition to hosting Survivor, Probst is a regular fill-in for Regis Philbin on Disney-ABC’s Live With Regis and Kelly. He also guest hosted for Larry King on Larry King Live on CNN, and is the host of The Howard Stern Celebrity Fan Roundtable on Sirius/XM radio.

Other potential new talkers vying for clearances in fall 2012 include hours hosted by Katie Couric from Disney-ABC, the return of Ricki Lake from Twentieth Television, and reality star Bethenny Frankel from Warner Bros.
