Gay TV Now: 2010-11 Fall Preview

The increasing amount of gay-related content on television is not just a result of TV networks’ and advertisers’ changing views on the subject. It also has to do with the fact that the actors, writers and producers supplying this type of content are creating material that is resonating with a wide swath of viewers–gay and straight.

Of course, many of these talented people are openly gay themselves, including Greg Berlanti, executive producer of ABC’s upcoming superhero drama No Ordinary Family; Max Mutchnick, executive producer of CBS’s fall comedy $h*! My Dad Says; Ryan Murphy, executive producer of Glee; and Scott Thompson, an original member of the Canadian comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall.
