Getting a head start on morning news, WTVT, Fox Television’s owned-and-operated station in Tampa is adding a half-hour to its morning news program. Beginning Monday (April 27), Good Day Tampa Bay will begin at 4:30 a.m., making WTVT the only station to offer a locally produced program during the time period.
The additional half-hour, featuring breaking news, the full SkyTower Omni weather forecast and traffic reports, is intended to build on the station’s ratings success in mornings.
