In Demand has named Dale Hopkins president and CEO of the company, according to an announcement made earlier this week.

Hopkins, an award-winning cable industry veteran, will join the team in New York as she leaves her position at Game Show Network in Los Angeles. While at GSN, Hopkins held multiple titles such as CMO and executive vp of distribution. Previously, she was interim CEO for international esports league Championship Gaming Series, as well as COO at Comcast-owned G4 Media.

Before those positions, Hopkins was a member of the launch team for E! Networks and co-founder of E! Online; she was also the vp of sales and part of the initial launch team for CNBC, in addition to holding many other sales positions at other networks.

“In Dale, iN Demand is gaining a multifaceted leader, someone with superb business acumen who has successfully delivered value and growth throughout her career,” said Tom Montemagno, board chairman for iN Demand. “She has a deep well of knowledge from across several business sectors, and is well-known and respected within the media industry.”

“Dale is resourceful, genuine, has a business development mindset, and will bring high energy and a wide array of skills and experience that will be appreciated by iN Demand’s employees and the company’s business partners,” he said.

In Demand is owned by Comcast, Charter and Cox Communications. The company provides transactional entertainment services through new technologies; it creates, acquires and delivers programming for on-demand and pay-per-view platforms. In Demand also provides marketing support, production services and content transport.
