Although it won’t formally unveil its 2013-14 schedule for another week, the CW on Thursday effectively mapped out the entirety of its 2013-14 programming strategy.
In addition to its previously announced pickup, The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals, the youth-targeted network is going ahead with a trio of sci-fi projects and an historical drama about the life of Mary, Queen of Scots.
First up is The 100, an adaptation of Brooklyn writer Kass Morgan’s popular YA book series about a group of juvenile delinquents who are sent back to Earth to determine if the planet can be re-inhabited 95 years after a global thermonuclear war sent mankind packing.
