The NFL has finally locked in a Super Bowl 50 halftime show headliner: Coldplay.

Adweek has confirmed that the British rock band will take the stage at next year's Super Bowl, set for Feb. 7 at Levi's Stadium near San Francisco and broadcast on CBS. The Wall Street Journal first reported the news.

Last week, the NFL said the official announcement would be made during the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions Thursday Night Football game.

Pepsi will be returning for the fourth year as title sponsor of the halftime show, which is officially called the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show.
