KCBS-AM, CBS Radio’s News station in San Francisco is expanding its distribution to the FM band on KFRC-FM (106.9). Beginning Monday, Oct. 27 KCBS will be heard on 106.9, in addition to its online stream (www.kcbs.com) and via AOL Radio.

KFRC’s ratings-challenged Classic Hits format (1.2 overall share in Spring) currently heard on 106.9 will migrate to the station’s HD side channel and online at www.kfrc.com.

Adding KCBS to the FM dial should open up KCBS to more listeners, particularly younger listeners that barely know where the AM band is.
