CBS Radio is adding to its Sports radio lineup, announcing Tuesday (Jan. 19) the launch of the first FM Sports station in Pittsburgh. Beginning Feb. 15, WBZW-FM will become Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan with new call letters, KDKA-FM.
The station’s former Contemporary Hit Radio format will be “blended” with the Hot Adult Contemporary format on WZPT-FM.
In addition to the on-air launch, The Fan will also be streamed online and across mobile platforms including the iPhone and Blackberry.
The Fan is the latest in a string of new Sports stations rolled out by CBS Radio in Detroit, Baltimore, Dallas, Washington, D.C.,
