The Hollywood Foreign Press Association does not officially announce its new members. The deadline for applications this year was February-March, and a list of members that once adorned the organization’s official website is no longer there.
However, if you look at the Twitter bio of L.A.-based journalist Brent Simon, boom! He is now a card-carrying member of the HFPA. Simon, who served formerly for several terms as president of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA), works currently for Mtime, a Chinese website.
