Bio Channel said Wednesday (July 9) that it is “aggressively” expanding its original programming slate with four new series in production, including a Chris Isaak-hosted talk show and William Shatner’s previously announced interview series.

Meanwhile, sister channel A&E is planning to broadcast a live episode of “Criss Angel Mindfreak” in the show’s upcoming fourth season.

Bio said during the Television Critics Assn. press tour at the Beverly Hilton that it is nearly doubling its original content in primetime compared with summer 2007, when the network rebranded.
