Belo’s independent powerhouse and local news leader in Phoenix for 14 years, KTVK-TV, is adding an hour and a half of news to the 52-hours of weekly new it already produces.

Beginning June 23, KTVK will debut an hour-long 9:00 p.m. newscast and move up the start of Good Morning Arizona to 4:30 a.m., for a total of four and-a-half hours.

Few other stations in the country air as much local news as KTVK. “It only makes sense that 3TV would add newscasts that are in synch with our viewers’ changing lifestyles because our audience relies upon us as Arizona’s largest local news operation and community-minded station,” said Jack Sander, interim general manager for KTVK.
