On Air with Ryan Seacrest to Clear N.Y.’s WHTZ-FM

Ryan Seacrest’s new daily syndicated radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest will clear New York on WHTZ-FM, Clear Channel’s Top 40 station in New York. Beginning Monday, Oct. 13 the three-hour program will air middays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., replacing Shelley Wade, who moves to overnights.

Since Seacrest launched his new weekday show in partnership with Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks, it has cleared more than 100 affiliates, reaching more than six million weekly listeners.

“Z100 has been my favorite radio station in New York since I was a kid,” said Seacrest, whose weekly syndicated show, American Top 40, has been a staple on Z100 since Jan. 2004.

“Ryan is arguably one of today’s biggest pop culture icons. From his ability to get candid interviews with the hottest Hollywood celebrities to his American Idol fame, he is the perfect addition to Z100. With Elvis Duran and Ryan Seacrest as our lead off personalities, we have the ultimate starting lineup for pop radio,” said Tom Poleman, senior vp of programming for Clear Channel.
