AFTRA, AMPTP Agree to Media Blackout

The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), which began formal negotiations on a new three-year television network contract on May 7, have agreed to a news blackout while negotiations take place.

In a joint statement, the organizations said they believe “these negotiations will be most productive if we refrain from commenting to the media until an agreement is reached.”
