Facebook already alerts users about trending topics in several different ways across its website and applications, but what if users want to dig a little deeper? Enter WhatIzTrending.
The site — created by Uday Ogra, developer of TrueFbFriends — allows users to set parameters and search for trending photos and links. Ogra offered the following example of a query for WhatIzTrending in an email to AllFacebook:
Images: posts under the “fun” category that were made on Facebook in the last two days and got more than 1,000 likes.
Ogra said WhatIzTrending scans the most popular Facebook pages to obtain the data, adding that more pages are being added to its database.
