Vimeo Awards Celebrate Creative Online Video
If YouTube is the King of viral videos then Vimeo is the King of creativity. The Vimeo community is overflowing with talented filmmakers, animators and all-around creative folk. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the video site is taking their celebration of creativity in online video a step further with the Vimeo Awards.
The Vimeo Awards will take place on October 8 and 9 in New York City and submissions and nominations are now open. As Vimeo truly wants to celebrate creativity in online video all over the web, and not just on their site, they have opened submissions up to all videos online, even if you’ve uploaded your video to another site.
Awards will be given in the categories of Narrative, Remix, Original Series, Documentary, Music Video, Animation, Motion Graphics, Experimental and Captured.
